Sophie Elizabeth Moore

Sophie Elizabeth Moore is a visual artist whose work draws upon her background in fashion design and her vibrant surroundings on the North Coast of Cornwall. With a Foundation Degree from Central Saint Martins and a BA Hons in Fashion Atelier from UCA, Sophie’s journey in creative fields began in the world of womenswear, where she joined Ted Baker’s team as a graduate. However, it is her transition into painting and mixed media that has allowed her to explore new avenues of expression.
Sophie’s work reflects the beauty of everyday life, infusing bright, bold colours and distinctive patterns.
She is inspired by vintage posters, Vogue covers, and the world around her. One of her most notable themes is the portrayal of swimmers, where she captures the fluidity and movement of the female figure, using her signature vibrant colour palette.
Whether it's painting murals or creating intimate studio pieces, Sophie’s art captures a sense of joy, energy, and a constant search for something unique. Her style evokes a sense of playfulness while remaining deeply rooted in personal experience and observation.

Through her practice, Sophie continues to be inspired by the people, places, and moments that surround her, always seeking to express the magic in the everyday.
